The Graduate School held two hooding ceremonies at Duke Chapel on Saturday, May 13, to celebrate 2022-2023 Ph.D. graduates.

To help new students make the transition to graduate student life at Duke, The Graduate School hosts an orientation week each August to provide a series of activities designed to introduce students to The Graduate School, Duke University, and each other. The fall 2022 Graduate School orientation was held Tuesday, August 23, 10:00 a.m.–noon via Zoom.

The Graduate School organizes a week of activities each spring to give graduate students opportunities to socialize, unwind, network, and work on professional and personal development. The most recent Appreciation Week was held in March 2023.
