E. Bayard Halsted Scholarship in Science, History, and Journalism

Through the generosity of the E. Bayard Halsted Scholarship, The Graduate School offers two competitive fellowships for graduate students who earned their undergraduate degree from any department at Duke University and who are, or shall be at the time of receipt of this scholarship, pursuing advanced studies at Duke University in science, history, or journalism.

The Halsted Scholarship provides an annual stipend (equivalent to the Graduate School-recommended stipend established each year), as well as tuition and mandatory fees. In addition, The Graduate School will pay the health insurance premium for recipients who enroll in the Duke Student Medical Insurance Plan.
