Program Description
The Climate & Health Certificate provides interdisciplinary training through integrated coursework and applied learning, preparing students to address complex climate and health challenges. Designed to complement your degree without extending time to degree, the certificate is part of the IMPACT Interdisciplinary Graduate Education Collaborative, which brings together Population Health Sciences, Sociology, the Nicholas School of the Environment, and Design Climate to prepare scholars to develop equitable, evidence-based solutions that improve health and resilience.
Eligibility
Duke graduate and professional students from any department or school.
Certificate Requirements
- POPHS 870 Climate - Health Seminar (Cross-listed as ECS 870 & SOCIOL 870)
- Sociology Elective
- Population Health Sciences Elective
- Environment Elective
- Interdisciplinary & summer activities (Optional)
