Centennial Fellowships: In celebration of the Duke University 2024 Centennial, The Graduate School has founded three new Centennial Graduate and Professional Fellowships designed to for incoming doctoral and master's students. These fellowships are funded through The Duke Endowment to attract the best graduate students during the admission season.

Nominations submitted by program leadership will be reviewed by a CGPF Working group using a rubric, comprising one faculty representative from each school and chaired by the Vice Provost for Graduate Education. Nominees can be both domestic and international applicants, and admission is not required in order to nominate an applicant for any of the Centennial Fellowships.

Applicants nominated for the Ph.D. Centennial Fellowships cannot be nominated for the James B. Duke Fellowship; Centennial Ph.D. nominees can be nominated for the Dean’s Graduate Fellowship and Sloan Scholars awards.

Read more about the three Centennial fellowships and please contact grad-fellowships@duke.edu if you have any questions.
