Finding A Graduate Faculty Member

Ph.D. students can use the database below to find faculty members to serve on their thesis or dissertation committees. Only full members of the graduate faculty may chair examination committees and direct dissertations. Full members of the graduate faculty generally participate in setting graduate degree requirements and in teaching and mentoring in their programs.

Becoming Graduate Faculty

Departments and programs authorized to offer graduate degrees are responsible for nominating members of their faculties to the graduate faculty. To learn more about becoming a member of the graduate faculty, see the bylaws and qualifications, as well as the nominating procedure.
