Thema Bryant-Davis (Psychology: Social & Health Sciences ’95), Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of the Culture and Trauma Research Lab at Pepperdine University, has been named president of the Society for the Psychology of Women.
Rodney Clare (History, ’01), has been promoted to Associate Professor of History at Elon University. Professor Clare’s research focuses on the history of African Americans in the South during segregation, and he also studies women’s voluntary organizations, their internal dynamics, their stated purposes, and their effectiveness over time.
Marco Deyasi (Art, Art History & Visual Studies ’07) is an assistant professor, tenure track, Department of Art and Design, University of Idaho.
Karen Gonzalez-Rice (Art, Art History & Visual Studies ’10) is visiting assistant professor in the Department of Art & Art History, Beloit College.
Erica James (Art, Art History & Visual Studies ’08) has accepted a position as Assistant Professor, tenure track, in the Departments of the History of Art and African American Studies, Yale University.
Elliot Ludvig (Psychology: Brain Sciences ’03) has accepted a position as Associate Research Scholar at Princeton University.
Charles W. McKinney (History Ph.D. ‘03) was promoted to Associate Professor of History at Rhodes College, Memphis, Tennessee. His current research focuses on the development of the Civil Rights Movement in rural North Carolina.

Marianne Wardle (Art, Art History & Visual Studies ’10) is Interim Curator and Academic Programs Coordinator at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University through June, 2011.
