Surviving Your Dissertation: Writing Groups and Other Survival Tools

Monday, January 28, 2019
12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Throughout the dissertation process, most writers encounter some moments of stress: Does this chapter make sense? What will my advisor think? Should I have more written by now? This workshop, facilitated by Dr. Eliana Schonberg, director of the Thompson Writing Studio, and Dr. Margaret Swezey, associate director of the Thompson Writing Studio, will present useful strategies for structuring your writing life, including thinking about the role that writing groups can play in completing a major project in a timely, and even enjoyable, manner.

Delicious pizza will be served for lunch; please bring your own beverage to enjoy.

Co-sponsored by the TWP Writing Studio and The Graduate School’s Professional Development Series. Questions about this event? Contact The Graduate School's professional development team at grad-profdev@duke.edu.
