Application: PhD students and postdocs may apply by emailing a 1-page cover letter to Molly Starback, Director of Duke Postdoctoral Services, by Mon Oct 1 at 12 noon. Write the cover letter as if you were applying for a job at the company (eg, why your experience and skills make you a good fit for Cato Research; what makes you stand out as a candidate). Note that the cover letter will not be read by Cato Research, and you are not applying for an actual job. Instead, this is an opportunity for you to practice your cover letter writing skills - applicants will be chosen based on their fit with the organization, as determined by the cover letter.
Attendees will be notified of their acceptance no later than 5 pm on Tues Oct 2. If selected, you must also be available to attend a mandatory, short mandatory preparatory meeting on Weds Oct 3 at 10 am in room 472 Sands Bldg. Those who are not selected will automatically be placed on the waitlist in case extra seats open. Please note that transportation will not be provided to the site visit; attendees are responsible for their own transportation.
