Presenting Yourself Professionally

Tuesday, May 31, 2016
12:00 pm to 1:30 pm

How do you wish you came across to your colleagues? Which attributes do you hope to present in your professional world? Experience confidence that is truly felt? Express yourself with clarity and conviction? Being engaging and engaged, curious, open, persuasive? We will dedicate our interactive time together to these goals.

Please speak out loud as you put together:
1. One sentence that describes the essence of your professional uniqueness.
2. Five sentences that describe the essence of your research.

If you wish to write down what you composed in your mind, please do it after you compose these sentences speaking every word out loud.  If you do this, your words will not feel as if you are reading a paper.

In The Public Eye President Joy Javits will be your coach.

This workshop is open only to current graduate students and postdocs. Lunch provided; please bring a beverage to enjoy.
