Navigating the Dual Job Search

Friday, October 4, 2019
12:00 pm to 1:30 pm

Planning for one person's career is tough; planning for two people's careers simultaneously is even harder! In this workshop, we will discuss how to establish professional priorities and how to have productive conversations with your partner. You will also hear from a couple who have successfully navigated a dual job search.

Sara Stevens-Spradley is the Program Coordinator for Campus Engagement at the Duke Alumni Association. She graduated from Duke's Graduate Liberal Studies program in 2019. Jackson Spradley is a Lecturer at North Carolina State University's School of Veterinary Medicine. He received his PhD in Evolutionary Anthropology from Duke in 2017.

Non-Duke-affiliated partners are welcome to join us for this session. They can register at https://tinyurl.com/Dual-Job-Search.

This event is part of the 2019-20 Academic Job Search Series, co-sponsored by The Graduate School, the Duke Career Center, and the Office of Postdoctoral Services. Questions? Contact Laura Coutts, Assistant Director, Graduate Career Services, at laura.coutts@duke.edu.
