Building a Career in the Federal Government with Vijeth Iyengar, Ph.D. ’16

Thursday, February 6, 2020
5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

This event has been canceled due to severe weather.

Join us for an informal conversation with Dr. Vijeth Iyengar about his path to a career in the federal government. During graduate school, he began planning his entrée into the federal government through the Presidential Management Fellowship (PMF). The PMF-STEM allowed him to leverage his research expertise in psychology and neuroscience at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and while on a secondment to the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization. Following his PMF-STEM experience, he secured his current position as Brain Health Lead and Technical Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Aging in HHS. Vijeth also remains actively engaged as a Duke alumnus and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Duke Alumni Association.
