The Center for Philosophy, Art and Literature will present a talk by Sara Danius (Ph.D.'97 Literature) on April 4. Danius is permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy, the awarder of the Nobel Prize in Literature. The subject of her April 4 talk will be "Balzac and Fashion: The Question of Realism." It will be held at the Jameson Gallery in the Friedl Building. The event will begin with a reception at 4:30 p.m., followed by Danius's talk at 5:00 p.m.
Danius will also speak on April 5 at the Nasher Museum about "How to Get the Nobel Prize in Literature."
Danius's visit is co-sponsored by The President's Office, The Provost's Office, and The Graduate School.
