The Graduate School is proud to announce that Cassie Kozyrkov, A.M. '12, has been named the 2024 inductee to the Few-Glasson Alumni Society

Kozyrkov is a world-renowned data scientist, statistician, and preeminent thought leader in the field of artificial intelligence. She was the first person to hold the role of Chief Decision Scientist at Google, where she founded the discipline of “decision intelligence,” a multidisciplinary approach integrating data science, psychology, and managerial decision-making to enhance organizational choices.

The Few-Glasson Alumni Society was established in 2016 in recognition of graduate school alumni who have distinguished themselves through their career accomplishments, the potential of their current endeavors, or their support for graduate students and graduate education at Duke.

After receiving a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago, Kozyrkov pursued advanced degrees in mathematical statistics and psychology and neuroscience from North Carolina State University and Duke University, respectively. Currently, Kozyrkov leads Data Scientific, where she provides education and consultation services on the use of data and AI in effective decision making—a topic of increasing importance in our AI-driven world.

Kozyrkov was recognized during the 2024 Centennial Homecoming Weekend during The Graduate School's Homecoming Reception as well as the Alumni Awards Ceremony on Saturday, September 28.
