The Brown-Nagin Graduate Fellowship provides a $2,000 fellowship stipend supplement for for Ph.D. students in the humanities and social sciences to attend conferences, join consortia, sponsor student events, or for travel expenses related to their research interest.

The Graduate School provides up to $525 for domestic and $700 for international travel for advanced students who have passed all parts of the preliminary examination and are presenting a paper or poster at a regional, national, or international conference. Due to current travel restrictions, The Graduate School will not award conference travel awards related to actual travel at this time until further notice, but will award funds to cover web-based conference registration expenses. The same guidelines regarding the expense and application process should be followed.
