Triangle Artworks Workshop: Getting the Grant for Artists
Explore how to best prepare grant applications with a discussion of how to read a grant application, submission best practices, and innovative and novel ideas for making an application stand out. Led by experienced performing artist Shana Tucker, this program will be tailored to the grant needs of visual, craft, and performing artists. Seating is limited and reserved for Duke graduate students and postdocs in the arts.
A recipient of many grants, Shana Tucker also has served on review panels and advisory committees for arts organizations across the country, including United Arts Council (Raleigh, NC), South Arts (Atlanta, GA), Durham Arts Council (Durham, NC), Nevada Arts Council (Carson City, NV), and NCPC ArtsMarket (Durham, NC). She brings her love of mentorship and performance to this workshop.
This workshop is sponsored by Duke Dance MFA and The Graduate School's Professional Development Grant.
