Site Visit with Indy Week

INDY Week, the Triangle Area's popular leading authority on local news, arts, music, activism, film and food events, is excited to host the Duke University Career Center for its first employer site visit, Tues., April 22nd, 2025 from 12:45pm – 2:45pm EST! Join for the opportunity to learn how cultural news and media can shape community pride and foster the participation of a more informed local citizenry. You'll also experience firsthand how an independent news source operates from the inside! Site visit participants will have the chance to engage with staff writers, editors, creative directors, photographers and more during a live roundtable meeting where discussions involving finalizing print issue content and pertinent decision making to the organization's operation will be had.

Registration is now open in Handshake! Space is limited for the first 15 registered students. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to register! This in-person company visit includes traveling to the American Tobacco Campus in Downtown Durham, NC, (about 10 min drive from Duke West Campus). Transportation can be arranged, please email Kai Kelley Jr., (kai.kelley.jr@duke.edu) by April 14th, 2025 at 5pm once you've registered for the event to request if needed. If you plan to drive there yourself, please be sure to allow for travel time. If you require any accommodations to participate in this event, please contact Kai Kelley Jr., (kai.kelley.jr@duke.edu).
