Revising for Structure: A Workshop for Social Sciences and Humanities Graduate Students
Eliana Schonberg, Ph.D., Director of the TWP Writing Studio and Associate Professor of the Practice, Writing Studies
How can you shape your fellowship application or grant proposal in a way that appeals to an interdisciplinary audience? This workshop will help you revise your materials to meet expectations in multiple disciplines.
All workshop participants are required to bring a draft of a current funding application in order to participate. The workshop will devote significant time to peer review of your draft.
To find funding opportunities, use the Duke Research Funding tool to conduct an advanced search; check “Grad/Prof Students” under Eligibility and the appropriate discipline(s) for your research.
The facilitator is Dr. Eliana Schonberg, Director of the TWP Writing Studio and Associate Professor of the Practice, Writing Studies. This event is part of the Fellowship and Grant Writing in the Humanities and Social Sciences Workshop Series co-sponsored by Thompson Writing Program and The Graduate School.
Sessions in this series will not be recorded to maintain confidentiality of fellowship materials in progress. Participants who attend at least two workshops in the series will be invited to a one-on-one materials review session with the facilitator at the conclusion of the series.
