Research Opportunities in Europe: An Information Session

Are you a postdoctoral scholar or graduate student researcher considering your next career move?
Join us for a hybrid session on Research Opportunities in Europe, designed to help researchers explore the diverse landscape of European research and funding. The session will be delivered by EURAXESS North America, an official project of the European Union that provides free information and support to connect researchers with opportunities across Europe.
The speaker will provide an overview of current EU research priorities, funding mechanisms, and mobility programs, including the new “Choose Europe” initiative. Attendees will learn about prestigious funding opportunities such as the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), which are open to U.S. and other international scholars, as well as European researchers exploring opportunities within Europe. The session will also introduce the EURAXESS Jobs Portal, which lists thousands of research positions in academia and industry, including faculty-track roles suitable for later-stage postdocs. Additional insights will be shared on navigating relocation, building international networks, and accessing national contact points for support.
This program is organized by the Professional Development Committee of the Duke University Postdoctoral Association (DUPA) with support from the Office of Postdoctoral Services and The Graduate School.
