In this interactive online workshop, International and Area Studies librarians will lead participants in a discussion of best practices for finding international and foreign-language resources beyond those already offered by Duke University Libraries. We will explore major open resources in European, African, and Latin American Studies that can diversify your evidence base and help you assess the need for a research trip abroad. We will cover citation tools for gathering information from region-specific Union Catalogs, Specialized Bibliographies, Repositories for Dissertations and Open Educational Resources, Libraries and Archives with digital reading rooms, and Digital Libraries. We will also cover copyright and fair use considerations in reproducing online materials, and investigate Creative Common licenses for Open materials in your research publications. This session will be held online.
