The Anti-Racism Community within the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience will be hosting this professional development event as part of the departmental colloquium series. At this event, panelists from technology, media, and nonprofit sectors will share firsthand insights about their experiences working in professional roles since earning their Ph.D.s from R1 institutions. During the discussion, panelists will share how factors related to their identities (such as holding a marginalized identity in academia or being part of underrepresented groups) may have influenced their journey from academia to industry. The session will feature 30-45 minutes of speaker discussion followed by an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.
