Free Climbing at the Wilson Climbing Wall

Students in The Graduate School are invited to stop by Wilson Recreation Center on Monday, April 29, from 2–4 p.m., to experience the climbing wall.  

The Climbing Wall stands 35-feet tall with 11 ropes and over 1,400 square feet of climbing surface. All equipment, including climbing shoes, harnesses and belay devices, are available at no cost. 

Climbers of all levels are welcome at the wall! Wilson has routes for brand-new climbers up to very experienced climbers.  Staff at the wall will assist any new climbers or answer any questions they may have.

The Wilson Recreation Center has also shared the following: "Students should wear socks if they would like to borrow shoes. If they forget socks, Wilson has them for sale. Wilson does not provide chalk, but that is also available for purchase."

Feel free to climb for the full 2 hours, or just a few minutes!
