Building Skills and Experiences for Your Professional Future during Graduate School: A Professional Development Progress Lunch
Building your research skills is critical to your academic success as a graduate student, but they aren’t the only skills you need to be successful in your next professional step once you graduate. You may also need to plan time to build your communication, leadership, or teaching skills, for example. How can you find ways to build these experiences while balancing your research responsibilities? Join this informal lunchtime gathering to find community with graduate student colleagues from across disciplines and share strategies and resources for meeting your goals. Dr. Melissa Bostrom, Assistant Dean for Graduate Student Professional Development, will be on hand to connect you with the resources you need to keep making progress. Attend one event or all six to keep your professional development goals on track this summer.
Delicious pizza will be provided; please bring a beverage to enjoy.
This event is part of The Graduate School’s Professional Development Series.
