Duke Ranks 5th in Interdisciplinary Science, 28th Overall

Times Higher Education has released their 2025 rakings, which reviewed more than 2,000 institutions in 115 countries or territories. Their rankings consider factors such as number staff per student, female to male ratio, percentage of international students, and more. 

Duke placed 27th in the World University Rankings, an  increase from the 35th spot last year's rankings. Duke placed higher on the interdisciplinary science ranking, placing 5th! The intersciplinary ranking considers research input and output, as well as what processes are in place to encourage intersciplinary research.
