6 Join Graduate School Board of Visitors
Six Duke alumni have joined the Graduate School Board of Visitors.
Yang Chen of Princeton Junction, New Jersey, is a managing director of BlackRock's Risk and Quantitative Analysis Group. He received his Ph.D. in statistics from Duke in 1997.
Edwin Cooper, who lives in Fayetteville, Georgia, is vice president and Business Unit CFO at Change Healthcare. He earned both an M.A. in economics and an M.B.A. in finance from Duke.
Xiaobo Fan lives in Palo Alto, California, and is a tech lead at Google, Inc. Dr. Fan earned his Ph.D. in computer science from Duke.
Rachael Lau of Plainfield, Illinois, received her M.S. in civil and environmental engineering from Duke in 2022 and is now a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the same program. She co-founded and co-manages a research cohort on earthquake risk and resiliency between Duke and the Institute of Engineering in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Sarah Mustillo lives in South Bend, Indiana, and serves as dean of the College of Arts & Letters at the University of Notre Dame. She received both her M.A. and Ph.D. in sociology from Duke.
Lastly, Vijay Srinivasan, who lives in Los Altos, California, is the Founder of Willow TV International, Inc. He received a Ph.D. in computer science from Duke.
