As part of Duke’s reopening, The Graduate School has reopened its offices on the third floor of the Old Chemistry Building. To reduce health risk, the school is limiting the number of staff members on site at any one time and implementing the following protocol for our interactions with visitors, including students, faculty, and staff.
- If you wish to meet with a member of the Graduate School staff, please first make an appointment by emailing that person. If you are not sure which staff member you need to meet with, you can contact our offices:
Visitors without an appointment will not be able to walk in and get an immediate meeting with a staff member.
- By default, our staff will meet with you remotely via Zoom or phone to help minimize the amount of in-person contact.
- If an in-person meeting is necessary, our staff will set up an appointment. When you come in for an in-person meeting, you must follow all university public-health regulations, including a self-screening for symptoms before coming to campus, wearing a mask while on campus (including during your meeting), and maintaining at least 6 feet of distance from others.
- If you need to drop off or pick up items at The Graduate School (e.g., transcripts), please first contact the person or office you are dropping off with or picking up from to determine when you should come by.
The Graduate School staff has been providing service and support for our students and departments throughout the pandemic, and will continue to do so remotely and on site when necessary while observing university public-health regulations. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep our staff and the entire Duke community safe and healthy.
