NOTE: All students who submitted an Intent to Graduate form for May 2013 or who graduated in September 2012 or December 2012 should have received an e-mail prompting them to complete the appropriate Commencement Information Form. If you are a student in one of those categories who has not received this e-mail, please contact lana.bendavid@duke.edu.
Graduate School Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony
Tickets are required and may be requested only by Ph.D. recipients.

Registration
September and December 2012 and May 2013 graduates are invited to attend but MUST register online for the Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony by Friday, April 5, 2013. To register, Ph.D. recipients must complete the Commencement Information Survey.
Master's Degree Recipients
Please check with your department to see if they are hosting a graduation ceremony. All master's degree students must complete the Commencement Information Form.

What name will they put on my diploma?
The Registrar's Office will be asking you to provide your name to the UNIVERSITY MARSHAL's office that prints your diploma. The name appears exactly as the student enters it when applying for graduation on-line. Students should make sure that if they have a middle initial and wish for a period to be after the middle initial, they enter that punctuation during the application for graduation process.
Where do I get my cap, gown & hood?
For the Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony and the Wallace Wade Ceremony, University graduation caps, gowns & hoods are rented through the Bryan Center Bookstore, you will get information mailed to you by the University Marshal's office (there is a fee to rent apparel). The caps, gowns & hoods are to be picked up by you and returned immediately after Sunday's reception. (You can keep your tassels.) The link to order online is www.duke.edu/commencement.

Graduation announcements and invitations may be purchased at the Bryan Center Bookstore.
