Admissions

What Admitted Applicants Need to Know and Do

Congratulations on your acceptance, and welcome to Duke!

In addition to formally accepting the offer of admission online, providing us with confirmation of degrees earned, starting the Visa process (if you are an international student), and arranging to relocate to Durham, we suggest you visit and carefully read through all the links to the left under the Admitted Students section for helpful information on what you need to know and do as a newly admitted graduate student.

Please be sure to check the Admitted Students site frequently for updates, and visit the Graduate Student Affairs website for information about the resources that are available to you now and throughout your career as a Duke graduate student.

The Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report include institutional policies concerning campus safety and security, as well as statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on Duke University property and on public property adjacent to campus and fires that have occurred in residence halls. A copy of this Report can be obtained by contacting the Duke Police Department at 684-4602 or writing to 502 Oregon Street, Durham, NC 27708 or by clicking here.

Note regarding the April 15 deadline for accepting offers of financial support and admission:

Duke University is a signatory of the CGS (Council of Graduate Schools) resolution regarding student obligation for accepting financial support prior to April 15. Please read the resolution on the CGS site.
